Job Summary

 

The Maintenance General Manager is responsible to the Technical Director for the overall functions and activities of the Maintenance Division, for the Technical Standards and maintaining the aircraft fleet to airworthiness standards, so as to assure a safe and reliable operation to comply with AOC functions

Responsibilities and accountabilities

 

 

·       Responsible to manage performance of maintenance and repair on VAG aircraft complying with current regulations of CAAV and approved documents MCM.

·       Responsible for maintaining MCC Manpower and  supporting all line station maintenance requirements to assure dispatch of airworthy airplanes. MCC provides 24hr, 7 days per week technical assistance.

·       Managing individual deferral of defects in accordance with the airline’s MME, the Minimum Equipment List (MEL) and the Configuration Deviation List (CDL) for the airplane type in question.

·       Technical Assistance & the coordination of the recovery of the aircraft to Out-stations.

·       Obtain Maintenance Support for the aircraft from another VAR Part 5 approved maintenance Organization with a contract in place with VAG to perform maintenance.

·       Responsible for taking corrective actions for any deficiencies resulting from internal and external audits carried out by company auditors, authority surveyors, or assessment body assessors relating to maintenance functions.

·       Responsible for Control of Repeat Discrepancies, tracking chronic or repetitive defects, ensuring that troubleshooting documentation is documented, if necessary implement instructions for corrective action and ensures that the rectification of these defects takes into account the methodology used in previous repair attempts.

·       Ensure sufficient resources are allocated to meet internal and external operational safety and security requirements.

·       Ensuring for maintenance and repair performance in accordance with approved technical manuals or technical instructions issued by Engineering Division.

·       Has responsibility for personal safety, security and health & wellbeing.

·       Ensure all personnel fully and openly cooperate in safety/ security investigation without prejudice.

·       Ensure sufficient resources are allocated to meet internal and external operational safety and security requirements.

·       Attend safety governance committee meetings as required.

·       Performing any other duties assigned by the Technical Director

·       Nội bộ:  phòng Quản lý Kỹ thuật, phòng cung ứng vật tư, An toàn chất lượng, Khai thác bay, TT Điều hành khai thác, Khai thác mặt dất, Thương mại.

Internal:  Engineering, Supply, SQD, Flight Operations, IOCC, GO, Commercial.

·       Bên ngoài:    MRO’s, Suppliers, Lessors, Airbus, CFM, IAE, OEM and any others as required.

Kiến thức, kỹ năng và kinh nghiệm

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

1.   Education level:

·       University graduate; Aviation, Engineering, and Mechanics are preferred.

·       Excellent communication skills both written and verbal and able to communicate to all levels of internal and external organisations in English and Vietnamese.

2.   Specific requirements:

·       Must hold either a full B1 or B2 licence on same or similar complexity aircraft to VAG fleet.

·       Must have at least 10 years experience in aircraft maintenance.

·       Must have 5 years experience in middle or upper level management

·       Good computer skills for preparing reports etc.

·       Experience in people management (previous supervision/team leader)

·       Experience in implementing change
